Baby and Toddler Series at Egleston Branch Library

Beginning on May 30 and running 5 weeks thru June 27, I will be doing a special Moms & Music babies and toddler sing-along at Boston Public Library’s Egleston Branch.  This series is hosted by the Egleston Branch and is free to families.  Parents and caregivers of babies and toddlers up to age 3 are welcome to join us for a 30-minute sing-along where we’ll sing some classics, learn some new favorites and, as always, learn and practice some American Sign Language (ASL) to complement our singing and encourage language and vocabulary development.

ASL is a great resource for babies and children of all ages, it’s fun and has wonderful benefits for developing pre-reading skills, extending the attention span, and giving even the youngest children the ability to communicate before they are verbal.  If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of teaching ASL to children you can read this!
