The Highland Street Foundation hosts a wonderful program each summer called Free Fun Fridays. Each Friday beginning on June 28th through August 30th, there will be 6 different cultural venues that offer free admission! You don’t have to pre-register, you don’t have to call ahead, you don’t need a ticket. All you do is just show up and they will be ready for you. In fact, they are usually very well-organized because it’s often their busiest day of the season.
The last few summers my 2 children and I have enjoyed a number of great places and look forward to returning for some more fun this year! I recommend getting to the venue early to beat the crowds! Some of the more popular venues can get quite busy! But hey, it’s worth it for the price: FREE! It’s such a perfect way to enjoy New England and check out some new places. The venues are family friendly and the weekly choices offer variety so you can choose a location that meets your interests.
This week is the third week and there are 6 great venues offering free admission, July 12th:
- Larz Anderson Auto Museum
- Museum of Fine Arts
- Cape Cod Children’s Museum
- Pilgrim Hall Museum
- Museum of Russian Icons
- Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival
For more details about each venue and answers to frequently asked questions go to the Highland Street Foundation site.
Enjoy beautiful New England this summer!
